2. Avoid blockage. Blockage is a major operating obstacle of the ball mill. The establishment of the partition plate has a selection effect on the material, so that blockage is unlikely to occur at the discharge port.
3. Limit the flow rate of the material. If the material flows too fast, it cannot be fully ground. The partition plate slows down the flow of the material in the ball mill, controls the material grinding process, and increases manual operability.

The material of the partition plate of the cone ball mill is usually high manganese steel or high carbon steel. This material ensures that the partition plate has sufficient hardness and can withstand the impact of the grinding body and materials for a long time. The partition plates of the ball mills used by a large number of our users are generally one or two layers. For the question of how many layers of partition plates to use, we have given a calculation standard: L/D=2.0, use a single layer; L/D=2.0-3.0, double layers; L/D=3.0, you can consider using three or four layers. In addition to the need to solve the problem of how many layers, the detailed design of the partition plate is also a certain consideration. We summarize it as follows:
1. The demand for the grate holes of the partition plate. The more grate holes, the better, and the smoother, the better, so that the ball mill can increase the material passing area.
2. Requirements for the partition plate itself. In addition to the hardness we mentioned, the partition plate is still as thin as possible.
