The benefits of ventilation in the cone ball mill

We all know that ball mills are used to process ore, especially important grinding equipment in mineral processing technology. Frontline operators engaged in mineral processing production activities are extremely concerned about the production efficiency of ball mills, and will improve the ball mills from all aspects of the ball mills to make it more productive, less energy consuming, and more environmentally friendly. While improving the entire equipment in general, we can also pay attention to some small details, such as the ventilation problems in the ball mill barrel. If we pay attention to these small problems, they may have excellent effects, even better than some large-scale adjustments of equipment.

We all know that the quality of ventilation in the ball mill barrel will affect the grinding efficiency. Poor ventilation is also a common problem. Good ventilation will have a great effect on the production of ball mills:


1. Remove the fine powder inside the ball mill to ensure the grinding efficiency.


2. Reduce the temperature inside the ball mill to prevent gypsum dehydration and tail warehouse sticky balls from blocking the grate. If the ventilation effect is not good, it will be difficult to discharge the water vapor in the ball mill, causing some fine powder to become moist and adhere to the grate gap, so that the material throughput per unit time will decrease, affecting the output of the ball mill. On the other hand, due to poor ventilation, the humid air will form an electrostatic effect, and the grinding body will form a buffer layer on the surface of the lining, which greatly reduces the impact of the steel ball on the material and the output will also be greatly reduced. We have two solutions to these problems:

(1) Add an axial flow fan to the upper part of the pull-up tube at the tail of the ball mill, and at the same time close the ball mill reversing screen, discharge chute and other parts. This can prevent air leakage and ensure smooth ventilation of the ball mill.

(2) Improve the air lock system. This prevents the air from being directly drawn away from the discharge port, and also ensures smooth ventilation.
