What are the advantages of using magnetic lining in ball mill?

The ball mill is the main grinding equipment in metallurgy and ore dressing plants. The liner is the most important working part in the ball mill. Its quality and service life directly affect the grinding quality of the ball mill and the service life of the selection mill.


Advantages of using magnetic liner in ball mill


1. Magnetic liner is a new type of liner. Compared with the traditional high manganese steel liner, the grinding efficiency of the ball mill will be significantly improved after the magnetic liner is used. After long-term research and development observation, it is found that the magnetic liner has the advantages of longer service life, lighter weight, thin thickness, etc., which is easy to install. At the same time, the use of magnetic liner produces low noise, good airtightness, and basically no maintenance is required. The production efficiency of the iron selection ball mill is also greatly improved.

2. The magnetic liner in the ball mill is to install a permanent magnetic liner body on the end covers at both ends of the inner core of the barrel wall. First, the bolt holes of the ball mill are sealed to prevent leakage of slurry. The barrel is rinsed with clean water. When the metal shell of the magnetic liner is installed, it faces the barrel and is attached to the inner wall of the iron selection ball mill. There is no gap between the liner plates. In order to prevent the protective layer of the magnetic lining from forming too slowly in the initial operation, a certain amount of crushed balls should be added during the installation of the lining, and spread on the surface of the installed magnetic lining. The working principle of the permanent magnet is used to adsorb a layer of magnetic material composed of fine iron ore powder, crushed balls and grinding media on the working surface of the lining to form an initial protective layer, which reduces the impact and wear of minerals and grinding media on the lining.


3. During the working process, the magnetic lining continuously adsorbs materials on the working surface of the lining to form a material protective layer. The protective layer is constantly worn, generated and reaches a dynamic balance, so that the lining will not be impacted and worn by the grinding media and materials during the working process, thereby improving the service life of the lining.
