How to properly supply water to large wet grinding ball mills

1. First obtain the specific ratio of the feed volume and water supply of the wet ball mill (wet ball mill), and determine how much water is required.：

That is, the grinding concentration, the grinding concentration = ore feed volume/(ore feed volume + water feed volume)

2. The water addition control should be set according to the product design and use requirements. If a smaller control is set, the metal loss of the steel ball will be increased and the service life of the mill will be reduced. If a larger control is set, the grinding effect of the ball mill will be reduced, and the power consumption of the ball mill will be increased, which is uneconomical to operate.Generally, the amount of water added to the grinding material of a wet ball mill is 2.5t/h-3.0t/h, which is more reasonable.

3. When wet grinding in a ball mill, the weight of water added is better when the crushing capacity is slightly equal to the weight of the ore.That is, the weight of the ore mud in the crushed ore accounts for about 50-60%.

4. If the grinding sound of a warehouse is low, the coarse grinding warehouse is “full grinding” or the pulp is poured, the amount of feeding should be reduced in time. When the pulp is severely poured, the feeding should be stopped and water should be added at the same time to prevent the compartment plate from clogging.Resume feeding after the grinding sound is normal.

5. While adding water to the wet ball mill, some also need to add flotation reagents to the mill so that it can be fully mixed into the ore mud while crushing.
