How to select crushers for coarse, medium and fine crushing in mineral processing plants?

The most common crushing process in metal beneficiation plants is the three-stage closed circuit process of coarse, medium, and fine crushing and screening operations, but there are also two-stage open circuit or closed circuit crushing processes.

The first stage of the three-stage crushing process is coarse crushing, usually using a jaw crusher or a rotary crusher; The second section mainly uses standard cone crushers for intermediate crushing; The third stage is fine crushing, often using a short head cone crusher.

For beneficiation plants with small processing capacity, a roller crusher can be used in the third stage.

In the two-stage and closed-loop crushing process, the last stage often uses medium-sized conical crushers. In small selection plants or crushing brittle materials, impact crushers or hammer crushers can be used.

As long as the selection of crushers follows the above principles, a suitable crusher can be selected.
